One of the most amazing places to visit in Karnataka is Chikmagalur, which is located in Chikkamagaluru District of Karnataka falling in the range of the Western Ghats of Karnataka.
Chikmagalur is approximately 280 km from Bengaluru, Karnataka. Chikmagalur has a lot of Coffee Estates which makes attractive places for the tourist.
The best season/time to visit nearby places in Chikmagalur is from June-October, wherein this being a rainy season the place looks like heaven as it will be covered by mist/fog and lot of green all around.
2. Baba Budangiri Hills: This is next best place to visit after visiting Mullayangiri. B.B. Hills is 30 Kms approx. from Mulayanagiri. New visitors to Chikkmagaluru, I would request you to visit this place. This is the most awesome place - the weather, wind, mountains and the greenery will make you feel you’re in heaven. I spent hours together in this place feeling the cool breeze and wonderful view at the peak. Check out the Video here!

Below are few of my experiences visiting the best places in and around Chikmagalur:
- Mullayangiri: The highest peak in Karnataka, Mullayangiri is located in hill ranges of Western Ghats of Chikmagalur. It measures about 1, 925 meters. This is one of the best places for trekking I would say.

3. Jhari Waterfalls:
Wow! This place is crowded as this is one of the best waterfalls where you can get down to the water to enjoy yourself. It’s 12kms approx. from Baba Budangiri hills. This fall is also known as Buttermilk Falls.
